What is kyb?
KYB — Know Your Business — is the verification a platform must complete before it can hold or move money for a business, covering who owns it, what it does, and whether that trade is permitted.

It is why signup asks for documents and why some trades are declined. Regulated activities need a licence the platform can actually check.
Done well it is a few minutes. Done badly it is the reason people abandon financial products, so the checks are staged rather than demanded all at once.
